Nowadays, in this new chapter in my life, I spend my time giving motivational presentations on mental health, which for me is a major factor that we must care for in order to encourage others to keep going, to set goals and to push towards them, and eventually, achieve them. I believe that it is extremely important to always stay positive, especially when it gets harder as that is what makes you stronger. Life can get everyone down, but once you get back up and refuse to stay down; refuse to never give up – that is when you are winning, where you gain the strength to beat the odds and conquer the expectations.

I have written a book based on my entire life story, from childhood to the present day. In this book I explain how hard life can be for a child cycling through the foster care system, as well as being grateful for how fortunate my two sisters and myself were to be fostered by our family. In addition to this, I also discuss just how extreme my childhood was, how that felt to me and what it means to me today. Along with this, I discuss one of the most difficult and challenging times in my life, when my little sister underwent two heart transplants.

In the book I offer an insight into what it was like to go through the Foster care system, how it impacted me and what I learned from it.

After overcoming these struggles in my life, I am looking to share my story with the world, with the hope that you too will understand the importance of positivity in times of adversity. Starting in September, I will soon be presenting my talk ‘Never Give Up’ to many schools and colleges around the country, which I am really looking forward to.

Today, I have found my purpose in life – to be a motivational speaker, someone who can impact others’ lives in a positive manner. Whilst my story ‘Never Give Up’ details my life experiences, hardships and the significant moment that changed my life; its purpose is to reach further. I love sharing my story and I would love for it to influence people to refuse to give up in the face of adversity. In this story I open up about my childhood, horrifying moments and how my two sisters and I persisted through the foster care system. I explain what it was like for all of us and express gratitude toward how fortunate we were to be fostered by my aunt and uncle, whilst celebrating how we managed to pull together as a family.

Starting in September, I will soon be presenting my talk ‘Never Give Up’ to many schools and colleges around the country, which I am really looking forward to.

I am excited to begin connecting with and motivating both students and adults with this talk, hoping they can gain something in their lives from their understanding of mine and my experiences.

I am extremely proud of both my talk and my book; ‘Never Give Up’, as it reminds me of how much I have overcome in the past and provides me with the strength to push forwards into the future. I hope to have this book published, as I feel that it whilst is important to me, it could potentially be important to someone else. I believe that there is value in resilience, in never giving up. Hopefully, someone else will find value in it too, realising that there is lots of reason in life to keep going, purpose to be found and experiences to look forward to.
