Never give up!
Hey! I’m Aaron Conlon and I’m here to talk to you today about my story. This presentation is called ‘Never Give Up’, based on the book I’ve wrote with the same name. I hope I can connect with you through my story and hopefully some of it resonates with you and encourages you to never give up.
In this motivational talk, I’ll explain to you how low I’ve felt during certain points in my life. I have had times where I have had absolutely no motivation to do anything. I felt as if I had no purpose in life until one day, when talking to my little sister on her sick bed, we made a goal together; that I would return to my studies and I would graduate with my college diploma. From such a low point in my life, my little sister inspired me to bounce back up again.
Well being.
This video shows a recent mental health talk that I presented in Holy Family Community school, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin. I was once a pupil in this school, so to be able to come back to be a positive influence in the school community is extremely rewarding for me. Additionally, I completed my work placement in the school, as part of my college diploma, as I am studying to become a social worker. I now aspire to highlight the importance of well-being, resilience and hope to a wider audience,

This video is of my amazing sister Amy, when she had her heart transplant in Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. The nurses were fabulous, they always took great care of Amy, keeping her in spirits high.
